From our office in Amsterdam, GEA Live designs, produces and distributes live entertainment inspired by and in collaboration with beloved brands and IPs. Our projects span TV, Film, Music, Gaming and Anime, including Avatar the Last Airbender in Concert, Dirty Dancing in Concert, Twilight in Concert, Outlander in Concert and the Witcher in Concert, amongst many others. As a Sony Music Entertainment Company, GEA Live has the capability to bring hundreds of our shows to life each year in any corner of the globe, with the US being a key focus market.
About the job
We are looking for a Junior Booking Agent to join our booking department and play an active role in bringing GEA Live's productions to audiences around the world.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a career in live entertainment and develop into a fully-fledged booking agent. You will work closely with our Director of Commerce and wider commercial team, supporting the booking of new and existing productions while gradually taking ownership of your own shows, territories and promoter relationships.
You will liaise with promoters, venues, agents, producers and internal departments throughout the booking process, from initial market research and availability checks through tour confirmations, scheduling and show execution.
The ideal candidate is commercially minded, highly organised and confident in building relationships. You should be curious about the live entertainment industry, comfortable communicating with people at all levels, and excited by the opportunity to work in an international, fast-paced environment.
As Junior Booking Agent, you will:
- Support the Director of Commerce in the worldwide booking and rollout of GEA Live productions, with a particular focus on the US and European markets.
- Research markets, promoters, venues and touring opportunities and identify potential booking opportunities for GEA Live shows.
- Communicate directly with promoters, venues and other external partners regarding availability, offers, holds, dates and booking opportunities.
- Prepare and evaluate offers, budgets and deal terms, developing an understanding of the commercial side of live entertainment.
- Support negotiations around performance fees, guarantees, ticketing, settlements and other commercial terms.
- Gradually take responsibility for booking selected shows, markets and territories under the guidance of the Director of Commerce.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with promoters, venues and industry partners.
- Coordinate with internal production, marketing, finance and management teams to ensure shows move smoothly from booking through to performance.
- Prepare and follow up on contracts, agreements, riders and other booking documentation.
- Assist with tour routing and scheduling, identifying opportunities to create efficient and commercially viable touring routes.
- Keep accurate records of bookings, offers, contacts, dates and other relevant information in our internal systems.
- Monitor ticket sales and market performance and use this information to support booking and routing decisions.
- Take increasing ownership of your projects and contribute ideas to the growth of GEA Live's international business.

- You either have 1–2 years of experience in a commercial role in live entertainment or 1-2 years of experience in a high performance sales environment in a different industry.
- You have a genuine ambition to develop a career as a booking agent and strong affinity with the cultural and entertainment sectors, with a particular interest in music, film, theatre, gaming, anime and/or pop culture.
- You are a natural people person with outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
- You are commercially minded and interested in understanding what makes a show successful in different markets.
- You are confident communicating with external partners and are comfortable picking up the phone, sending emails and following up when needed.
- You are highly organised and have an excellent eye for detail.
- You can prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- You are proactive, resourceful and solution-oriented. You don't wait to be told what to do.
- You are a self-starter who takes ownership and responsibility for your work.
- You are comfortable working with numbers and are proficient in Excel and Word.
- You have strong negotiation and influencing skills, or are eager to develop them.
- You understand the culture and dynamics of the entertainment industry and have a friendly, professional and personable demeanour.
- You are fluent in English. Dutch is not mandatory.
- You are available full-time and able to work from our Amsterdam office at least 4 days per week, with 1 day working from home.
