Based at the climate-resilient Floating Office Rotterdam – the world’s largest floating office building, offering breathtaking views of the Rotterdam Harbor – you will be at the forefront of our strategic market expansion efforts.
About the job
As a strategic and visionary Business Developer with strong leadership skills, exceptional talent in communication and an energetic go-getter mentality you will help drive our office's international expansion. An ever-curious mindset should motivate you to connect our portfolio with new clients, new partnerships and new opportunities.
The ideal candidate will link the outside world to our work by recognizing and identifying new trends and striving to be behind the curve. Persuasiveness is key to tap into the untapped. You’ll operate at the intersection of strategy, storytelling and client engagement and play a key role in acquisition - spotting opportunities, opening doors, and securing new projects that align with our creative and global ambitions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies in close collaboration with our management and PR team
- Identify new leads, partnerships and project opportunities in targeted markets
- Maintain and expand relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Create high-quality pitch materials, tailored proposals, and responses to RFQs/RFPs
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support positioning
- Represent Powerhouse Company at meetings, conferences and industry events
- Support the preparation of fee proposals, project timelines and scopes
Dit is wie je bent
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Architecture, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably within an international setting
- Strong understanding of A/E/C industry best practices and an established industry network
- Proven expertise in prospecting and developing new business, with a solid ability to convert prospects into clients
- Advanced proficiency in English and/or Dutch; additional languages like German or Norwegian are a plus
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a charismatic personality
- An existing network of relevant contacts in Europe and beyond is a plus
- Proactive, well-organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexible and adept at prioritizing and multitasking in an international environment
- Immediate availability and working eligibility in the Netherlands
