Foundation Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is the leading business platform for the electronic music industry and the world’s largest club festival for electronic music and dance culture. ADE Pro is the ultimate business and inspiration platform for the global electronic music industry. It offers dedicated programming for music professionals, (aspiring) DJs/producers, artists, tech start-ups, brand and marketing managers, and many others. The program includes panels, keynotes, expert talks curated meetups, industry sessions, networking drinks and special events.
With over 500 speakers and artists, 8,000+ Pro Pass holders, and 150+ sessions across four main locations, ADE Pro provides unmatched access to top-level insights, industry leaders, and business opportunities.

ADE Lab is the platform for emerging talent in electronic music. It offers a hands-on program for aspiring producers, DJs, musicians, visual artists and creators across the full spectrum of disciplines. The focus is on creativity, skill-building and industry access.
The program includes workshops and masterclasses with leading artists and experts, demo drops and feedback sessions, tailor-made courses & learning tracks and a Gear Test Lab for trying the latest tools and technology. About the job
As Project Manager for ADE Pro and Lab, you proactively take ownership of the conference workflow and ensure seamless coordination across the programming team and related departments. You are highly structured, detail-oriented, and capable of overseeing many moving parts at once.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the project and drive it forward proactively.
- Maintain a clear overview of all developments within the programming team.
- Work closely with the Lead Programmers on a daily/weekly basis and (bi)weekly with the full group of aprox. 5 programmers. Including “sub” programmers we are with a group of aprox. 12.
- Support programmers in finalizing speaker confirmations and session planning.
- Manage the conference timeline, including grid/schedule planning.
- Accurately track all (potential) speakers, content ideas, and session statuses in Monday.com.
- Monitor and manage budgets related to the conference program.
- Coordinate travel arrangements (flights and hotels) together with the Travel department.
- Work confidently with Slack, Monday, Excel, Organized and various CRM tools.
- Hold regular coordination meetings with the MarCom department to plan and prepare all Pro Conference communications.
- Collaborate with the Partnerships team to integrate partner activities into the conference program.
- Align with the Production team to ensure all conference venues and technical needs are properly prepared.
- Collect and process all panel descriptions, speaker bios, and headshots for publication on the ADE website and app and manage the advancing of speakers together with an assistant.
- Prepare weekly internal program meetings together with the Lead Programmer.

Skills & Experience
- Experience in project management within fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Stress-resistant, adaptable, and able to maintain oversight under tight deadlines.
- Confident in taking the lead within your project and collaborating across departments.
- Flexible regarding working hours and availability.
- Based in Amsterdam and available to work from the Amsterdam office (partial remote possible).
- Roughly 140 working days: part-time from April–May, full-time June–October, and part-time wrap-up in November.
- Strong affinity with the electronic music industry in all its diversity—staying up to date on trends, scenes, and key figures is essential.
You recognize yourself in the following:
- At least 5 years of experience in organizing conferences and/or music events.
- Strong project management background with experience working with remote and international teams.
- Proven organizational talent and excellent time management skills.
- Ability to maintain the big picture while keeping a sharp eye for detail.
- Proactive, decisive, flexible, stress-resistant, collaborative, and solution-oriented.
- Strong communication skills in English and ideally also Dutch.
- Living in or near Amsterdam.
- A network within the electronic music industry is a strong plus.
