About the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and experienced Head of Social Media to join our team. Do you have a passion for storytelling, brand building and an eye for culture & community? Our Head of Social Media plays a critical role in growing the DGTL brand, establishing resilient connections with our audiences worldwide, and will be working at the intersection of our Amsterdam and local teams.

This position will put you at the heart of our campaigns, impacting our global brand image. You will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing our global social media strategy to enhance the DGTL global and local brands by means of (all) our online channels and platforms. Our Head of Social Media is the head of our Content Team, and will be in charge of keeping consistency in all global online communication about the DGTL brand.
The Job:

  • Responsible for creating, executing, evaluating and optimization of social media strategies with the objective of building the DGTL Global brand identity, and achieving objectives and targets
  • Lead of our content team & working closely with our content manager to make sure your strategy is executed on time & on brand Responsible for the quality and accuracy of all global online communications about DGTL including announcements, ticket information, line-up, and other important information shared on all channels
  • Development of in-depth brand guidelines and brand book in collaboration with Marketing Director and Lead Designer including content and social media guidelines, tone of voice, copy, best practices, do’s/don’ts for use by foreign stakeholders
  • Briefing the Content Team to develop rich and engaging content in line with the overall annual theme for releases, artists, events, announcements and aftersales across channels
  • Responsible for management of local teams in creating campaigns, asset management
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of DGTL Global online channels to expand the digital content landscape for all DGTL events and maximize growth
  • Monitoring and reporting campaign development whilst optimizing considering social algorithms, online fan behavior/interaction and other changes
  • Closely working with Online Marketing Manager to optimize paid social advertising campaigns
  • Ensuring content is shared on-time and on-brand Liaising with Marketing, Music, Production, Revolution to develop content ideas for artists, sustainability program and art line-up
  • Being on top of the latest developments in social media and propose new strategies within DGTL marketing team and share insights and knowledge with other relevant Apenkooi team members
  • Create quantitative and qualitative analysis and metric reports of the digital and social media landscape of DGTL
Dit is wie je bent
  • Have proven experience in social media content creation and building social media campaigns.
  • Will always put our culture and community values first.
  • Have 3+ years of working experience in Social Media, Marketing.
  • Are fluent in English (written / spoken).
  • Have a very strong knowledge of social media marketing and all social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, …). 
  • Know all the latest trends and innovations in the digital world.
  • Have affinity with digital and online marketing, as you will be working closely with our Marketing Director and Online Marketing Manager.
  • Have affinity with digital marketing and experienced in (data) analysis to apply to campaign development.
  • Have a strong knowledge of brand building, positioning.
  • Are experienced in managing a content creation team, and working with creatives.
  • Are very much able to manage multiple tasks at the same time and prioritize to meet strict goals and deadlines.
  • Are very much a team player but also not afraid to advocate your own vision and insights.
