Wij zijn Bon Ton Toys- de duurzame plush makers uit Amsterdam. Wij bestaan sinds 1933 en zijn nog altijd volop in ontwikkeling met ons eigen merk B.T. Chaps. Daarnaast hebben wij de internationale licentie voor WWF plush en de welbekende Bon Ton Toys Nijntje en hebben wij net een start gemaakt met Bon Ton Toys Peanuts [Snoopy]. Wij positioneren ons in het premium segment, opereren in meer dan 50 landen en werken met de vooraanstaande internationale retailers als Bon Marche, De Bijenkorf, Kadewe, ARKET, Harrods, Liberty London, Moma New York en nog vele meer.

International Bon Ton Toys zoekt Content Designer

We’ve been making plush since 1933, but never “just toys.” Our plush are comfort objects, mini artworks, lifelong friends. 

As a certified B-Corp and 1% for the Planet member, we create design-driven, sustainable plush with purpose. From Miffy to Smiley, from Peanuts to WWF, and our own Bon Ton Toys plush. Everything we make has a soul. 

You’ll find our sustainable plushies under our own Bon Ton Toys label, as well as beloved collections for Miffy (Nijntje), Peanuts (Snoopy), WWF and Smiley. Loved by children, grown-ups and collectors alike, they travel the world and are now found in 42 countries. From Amsterdam to Tokyo, our plushies have found their way into some of the world’s most inspiring stores; including Harrods, La Samaritaine, ARKET, Liberty London, Merci Paris and MoMA Japan.

Our heart? Still in Amsterdam, in our bright Houthavens studio.

About the job

We’re looking for a Content Designer who shapes how Bon Ton Toys looks, feels and speaks across every touchpoint, worldwide. A visual storyteller with a strong sense of aesthetics, consistency and meaning. Not someone who “makes things pretty”, but someone who builds a visual world people want to belong to.

Focus Areas

Brand identity & consistency

You own and evolve Bon Ton Toys’ visual identity across all channels; digital and print. Every image, colour and layout reflects our warm, design-driven, purpose-led story.

Content & campaign creation

You translate creative concepts into inspiring visuals for campaigns, product launches, social media, paid media, trade shows and everything in between. From idea to delivery, you bring storytelling and coherence to everything we publish.

Collaboration & coordination

You will be part of the Marketing team and work closely together with our Creative Director, Social Media Manager, B2B manager, and other internal and external creatives (photographers, stylists, marketers). You connect creative ideas and make sure every touchpoint aligns, from concept to final asset.

Innovation & inspiration

You stay ahead of what’s happening in design, fashion and culture, experimenting with motion, film, AI or typography to keep our visual world fresh while staying true to our DNA.

Dit is wie je bent

**Who we are looking for? **A designer with taste, precision and imagination, someone who understands that design isn’t decoration. It’s storytelling.

  • You have 3–5 years of experience in brand design, visual communication or creative content.
  • You are fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); Figma or After Effects is a plus.
  • You understand both digital and print design.
  • You have an eye for detail, layout and typography and the ability to apply them consistently across formats.
  • You’re experienced with new tools and trends, from AI to motion design.
  • You are hands-on, proactive and collaborative.
  • You speak English fluently (Dutch is a plus).
