About the job
Working as the first Business Development Manager in our Amsterdam office you will be aiming to build out an exciting book of business from scratch. You will work with the London based Head of Sales and Key Account Managers to build a strategy and target account list to approach. You will act as the primary contact for your clients and the conduit between the creative, production, sourcing and shipping teams, to ensure that every project is delivered to an exceptional standard and creates an everlasting impact. The position of Business Development Manager is hands-on and requires excellent commercial, project and client management skills. The role is client facing and demands a knack for creative problem solving and strong communication skills, keeping clients in the loop at all stages of the project.
We are looking for someone with direct experience, and a proven track record, in developing new business. The ideal candidate will be an initiative-taking self-starter who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys being on the front line of an exciting scale-up in a new market.
- Developing, maintaining and updating your sales pipeline - managing your own pipeline using our CRM platform and creating a consistent system across all parts of the funnel.
- Regularly checking-in with your key accounts; touching base on live projects, finalising completed ones, and developing ideas for new assignments.
- Clients and projects may range from size and creativity, from very small quick orders to larger bespoke creations. You are responsible for managing all the work streams to produce the final deliverable(s). You have complete awareness of the status of all live briefs and manage the daily task prioritisation.
- Being the go-to person for all status-related information, you are always on top of progress and ready to report back to the wider team.
- Answering briefs and inbound sales inquiries utilising clear and consistent communication resulting in a proactive approach.
- Confident and comfortable communicating effectively with a range of personalities on a daily basis.
- Using your experience & knowledge to make key decisions on projects and offer valuable experience and insight during early concept work.
- Consistently inspire colleagues with concepts/ideas/technologies to be considered to enhance our work.
- Extensive use of our project management and CRM tool (Monday)
- Extensive use of our inventory and ordering tool (Unleashed). Executing the requirements properly; ensuring quotes, sales orders and purchase orders are complete.
